About Bruce Stephens

Bruce Stephens is a trained level 2 Playground Inspector and a level 3 Playground Auditor. He has worked in the playground industry for over 14 years with considerable experience in maintaining and installing playground equipment. He has a degree in Recreation specializing in park management and has completed a number of Playground Standards training sessions and been on the Standards sub-committee for Play Australia.

He prides himself on his ability to identify faults, his thorough knowledge of the Australian Standards for Playground Equipment and his understanding of risk management.

Bruce has worked in local government maintaining and upgrading playgrounds, and has been an integral part of the planning and installing of a number of well-known playgrounds for Manningham City Council.

He has also worked in a number of kindergartens and primary schools assessing the safety of play equipment, conducting playground safety audits and carrying out playground maintenance. He has liaised closely with all the main commercial playground manufacturers and suppliers in Melbourne.

Bruce Stephens Playground Services operate within metropolitan Melbourne and throughout regional Victoria. Please note: Sites outside metro Melbourne may incur an additional travel cost. For regional areas, it may be more efficient and cost effective for you to organize other groups in your area to have their playgrounds inspected at the same time.
